What We Profess

At St. Paul's we believe, teach and confess that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came and walked among us nearly 2000 years ago.

We believe that He was crucified on a cross, bearing the sins of all who would believe in him, and making sole and sufficient atonement for all of our transgressions.

There is no other way to attain salvation except through faith in Christ.

We believe, teach and confess that the Holy Bible is the inspired, inerrant and infallible Word of God and that no one can sufficiently know or understand God except through what he has revealed to us therein.

We deny the inspiration or truth of any teaching which contradicts the Word of God.

We believe, teach and confess that the Lutheran Confessions found in the Book of Concord are sound explanations of the Word of God.

We also accept the three ecumenical creeds of the Church; the Apostles Creed, the Nicene Creed and the Athanasian Creed, as correct statements of the truth revealed by God in Christ Jesus, presented in the Scriptures.

We believe, teach and confess that the local congregation is the right form of the Kingdom of God on earth. No human authority may bind the conscience of the congregation, not does any other human institution have any claim upon the rights or property of the congregation.
